New Delhi: Jadavpur University has begun the application process for admission to UG Engineering Evening programmes for the academic year 2022-2023. Candidates can apply online through the official website jaduniv.edu.in 

Jadavpur University is inviting applications for admission to the five-year evening programme for the Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering under the Faculty Of Engineering and Technology (FET).  

Candidates who have not received their 10+2 mark sheets or certificates can also apply for the course at Jadavpur University . However, they should fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria and produce the same at the time of admission. 

Admission to Jadavpur University for the courses has begun on August 2. Candidates can apply online through the official website till August 11, 2022.

Jadavpur University UG Engineering Evening Admission 2022: Dates 

Candidates for admission to the evening programmes will have to sit for JEEDEC 2022 entrance examination. The entrance examination will be conducted at Kolkata, Siliguri and Durgapur centres in physical mode. Questions will be MCQ-based and evaluation will be OMR based.

Jadavpur University UG Engineering Evening Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria 

The candidates must have Passed Diploma Examination from the UGC recognized Indian University or Government / Statutory Body in the same branch to which he/she opts for application with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point in aggregate for general category and 45% for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD candidates.

In case the final result is published in the Grade Point system only, then the same must be converted to equivalent percentage marks. Conversion of Grade Point to Percentage of Marks, if required, should be done by the applicant during filling up of the form using, either –

1. The conversion formula of the concerned board/university, if any such is available, OR
2. By the AICTE advised formula, Percentage marks = (Grade Point – 0.75) × 10 when Grade Point is on a scale of 10.

In case, the Grade Point is not on a scale of 10, the obtained Grade Point is to be converted to Grade Point on a scale of 10 on a pro-rata basis.

Jadavpur University UG Engineering Evening Admission 2022: Selection Process 

Provisional merit list will be published on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test following tie-breaking rules and candidates will be invited for participating in the admission procedure (offline) that is the counselling rounds according to the provisional merit list. 

Jadavpur University UG Engineering Evening Admission 2022: How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of Jadavpur University at jaduniv.edu.in 

Step 2: Register yourself by choosing the particular course of choice after filling in the required details, such as Mobile Number, Email Id etc. by visiting the Google Form link provided.  

Step 3: Now, log in with your registration credentials and fill in all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee of INR 400 and Submit the Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a printout of the form for all future needs.
