JEE Main 2020: 510 Delhi Govt School Students Qualify Entrance Exam, Says CM Kejriwal


Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter to announce the latest achievement about 510 students from Delhi Govt Schools qualifying JEE Main 2020. 

The CM has also appreciated the students who passed out from Delhi government students for their excellent exhibition in JEE Main 2020.

A total of five students from the nation's capital have scored 100 percentile in the JEE Main exam.  JEE Main Result 2020 was released on September 12, 2020, and Chirag Falor and Era Sarda emerged as the state toppers for JEE Main in Delhi in 2020.

He shared the details regarding number of students from Delhi government schools who cleared JEE Main since the past three years. Mr Kejriwal also tweeeted, “Congratulations to each student and teachers. I am proud of you. After 98% results, another big achievement of Delhi Govt schools.”

Delhi Stands Second Highest with 100 Percentile Scorers 

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also admired the improved teaching facilities under his government. Delhi government has complimented qualifying students and their educators from Govt Schools of NCR, who have figured out how to clear and qualify in one of the hardest engineering entrance selection examinations.

Delhi Govt School students perform better 

Alongside this, Delhi CM  shared the statistics showing the gradual growth of students qualifying in JEE Main from Delhi Govt schools in the state. Figures show the increase from 350 students in 2018 to 510 in the 2020 JEE MAIN examination.

Delhi region holds the second-highest no of 100 Percentiles in India. According to the report by NTA, the maximum number of 100 percentiles in JEE Main 2020 belongs to Telangana, where 8 students have secured 100% marks.

Only 74 per cent of 8.58 lakh registered candidates have appeared for the exam for admission to engineering courses in Centrally funded technical University.
