JEE Main 2021 to be Held in 'Punjabi' Language As Well, Decides NTA; Check Details Here


December 26, 2020: As per the latest updates, NTA has decided to conduct JEE Main in more regional languages from next year, which includes Punjabi as well. 

NTA secretary jas issued a letter stating that class 12 eligible students can appear for competitive exam, JEE Main in Punjabi from 2021 onwards. 

JEE Main 2021 is scheduled to be held in four sessions from February to May 2021.

Many aspirants from Punjab can now appear for the competitive exam in their mother tongue. School Education Secretary Krishnan Kumar has also directed principals to inform the students belonging to science stream to apply for JEE Main 2021 online.

In recent years, JEE Main was offered in three languages only, i.e. English, Hindi and Gujarati. But from now on, students can appear in following languages as well:

Bengali

Kannada

Assamese

Marathi

Malayalam

Odia

Punjabi

Tamil

Telugu

Urdu

Rajinder Kaur, who handles teh additional charge of DEO secondary and is also a district education officer, elementary also revealed that science mentors have been asked to motivate students to appear for JEE Main 2021 which will enable them to get admission in IITs.

In 2020, 104 government school students successfully cracked JEE Main from Ludhiana. Whereas 600 students attempted the January and September session. 

Out of these, 44 students belong from meritorious school run by the state government.

One of the government senior secondary school Chemistry lecturer also appreciated the government's move. He also said that many students have a phobia of English, due to which they are unable to score well. But this decision is in favour of students and will help them to fare better.
