Jindal Global Business School Becomes India's Best Research Driven Business School, Tops All IIMs in 2022

New Delhi: As per the Scopus-indexed research publications for 2022 session, the Jindal Global Business School (JGBS) of O. P. Jindal Global University (JGU) has secured its position as India's Best Research Driven Business School. It has topped all IIMs in India in 2022. 

Followed by the database shared by Scopus, the Jindal Global Business School has emerged as a leading institute in research. It is constantly leading over much older Institutes of Management (IIMs) as well as other top-ranked private business schools in the country. 

While comparing the data, the leading IIMs of India such as IIM Ahmedabad published 215 Scopus-indexed articles in 2022, while JGBS published a total of 242 papers. IIM Bangalore has 150, IIM Calcutta has 85, IIM Lucknow has 203 and IIM Ranchi has 194 articles.

In addition to this, IIM Kozhikode published 166, and IIM Indore published a total of 165 articles. Among other b-schools, 186 papers were published by MDI Gurgaon, 60 by IMI Delhi, 98 by IMT Ghaziabad, 62 by SPJIMR (Mumbai) and 95 by all campuses of ISB.

Referring to the achievement, Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, Founding Vice Chancellor of JGU said, " This accomplishment is a testament to the outstanding quality of the research and scholarship at JGU, and it will have a positive impact on the knowledge ecosystem in India”.

“I have always believed that high-quality research has a direct correlation to teaching, and this will immensely benefit the students of JGBS and JGU”, he said. He further congratulated the Dean, the Vice Dean (Research), and all the faculty members for their continuous efforts.

Talking about the quality of papers, over 60% of papers by the JGBS were published in journals ranked by the prestigious Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) in the 2022 session. While others were published in ABDC A-star ranked journals.

Many of the papers were published as a part of the collaboration with international faculty members from Australia, China, the USA, the UK, Canada, Turkey, Ireland, the UAE, Vietnam, Oman, Taiwan, and New Zealand among other countries.
