JIPMER has released the date for round 1 counselling of seat allotment for the M.Sc Nursing program. As per the announcement, the institute will conduct the seat allotment process on October 28, 2020.

JIPMER M.Sc Nursing Counseling: Eligibility

The results of the JIPMER M.Sc Nursing entrance exam were released on the official website on September 28, 2020. Candidates who cleared the entrance exam are eligible to apply for the counseling process.

The following section gives the minimum percentile marks needed to be secured by candidates belonging to various categories to be eligible for counselling.

  • UR/ EWS : 50% and above
  • UR - PwD : 45% and above
  • SC/ ST/ OBC - PwD : 40% and above

JIPMER M.Sc Nursing Counseling: Procedure

The following sections give the procedure followed in the counselling process which starts with a mock counselling process.

Step 1: Eligible candidates need to register for the counseling process through the link available on the official website of JIPMER. 

The link will be activated only for eligible candidates on October 20, 2020, at 10 a.m

Step 2: Soft copies of the following certificates should be uploaded 

  • Consolidated mark sheet of Bachelor degree
  • Degree certificate or pass certificate
  • Experience certificate (if applicable)
  • EWS certificate (if applicable)
  • Permanent Medical Registration Certificate/Nursing Council registration certificate issued by State/Central Medical/ Nursing Council (applicable for Medical/ Nursing Graduates)

Step 3: Candidates should select the course as per their choice of preference

Step 4: The uploaded certificate will be verified by the authorities and the candidates will be notified via email.

Step 5: Seat will be allocated through mock counseling after which candidates could change their choice of preference. This is not the final allocation.

Step 6: Candidates who are not satisfied with the seat allotted through mock counseling could change their preferred choice.

Step 7: Final seat allocation list will be released as per the merit list, category of candidates, and seat vacancy.

Step 8: Candidates who were allocated seats in the round 1 counseling should accept the seat and proceed with fees payment.

If the candidates did not accept the seat and pay the fee within the mentioned time, the allocated seat will be cancelled and candidates will not be eligible for the further counselling process.

Admission fee that candidates need to pay is mentioned below:

Course Name: M.Sc Nursing

Admission fee: INR 10,660

Security deposit: INR 10,000

Total fee: INR 20,660

Step 9: Candidates should report to the JIPMER on the mentioned date after accepting the seat and submit the original certificates to complete the admission procedure.
