JIPMER to Begin Internships for Final Year MBBS Students from February 01; Read Details Here

New Delhi: As per the latest updates, JIPMER has announced that internships for MBBS final-year students will tentatively begin on February 01, 2023. The announcement was made through an official notice published on its official website.

Students who cleared all subjects of the final MBBS Part II exam must pay a registration fee of INR 1500 to the Tamil Nadu Medical Council through the TNMC Portal. To speed up the TNMC registration procedure, one group representative has to report to the Academic Section right away once the results are announced.

According to an official statement from JIPMER, all interns will be required to report on February 1st, 2023. Under no circumstances can a late joiner be permitted. The final year of their examination for MBBS students was held from January 04 to January 13, 2023. 

The practical examinations are being held from January 16 to January 23, 2023. The medicine I, Medicine II, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology I, Obstetrics & Gynecology II, Surgery I, and Surgery II topics were covered in theory tests. While the practical exams cover pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics, and gynecology.

With the approval of the Ministries of Health & Family Welfare and MHRD, the NEET UG exam has been administered by the NTA for admission to UG medical education. Based on marks secured in the test, candidates allotted seats in NEET scores accepting colleges in India. 

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research is a tertiary care referral hospital and an institute of national importance. It has administrative authority to manage its own internal affairs but is directly governed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Indian Government.

JIPMER offers various courses to students at the undergraduate, graduate, super speciality, fellowship, PhD, post-basic diploma, and certification levels. The institute began as the French government-founded Ecole de Médecine de Pondicherry in 1823.
