JMI Entrance Exam 2022 Postponed to Avoid Clash with CBSE 12th Exam

New Delhi: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has postponed the entrance test for admission to UG and PG programs as the previous exam dates were overlapping with CBSE class 12th Board Exams 2022. The entrance test has now been rescheduled to June 11, 2022.

As per the revised schedule, the entrance test for admission to various UG and PG courses of Jamia Millia Islamia that are not covered under CUET will start on June 11, 2022. Earlier, it was supposed to be held from June 2, 2022. On the other hand, the CBSE Class 12th Exams 2022 are to be concluded on June 13, 2022.

Due to this, Jamia Millia Islamia has postponed the entrance examination as students preparing for the CBSE Class 12th Exam 2022 would not have been able to appear for Jamia Entrance Test 2022.

Informing about the situation, JMI Registrar Nazim Hussain Jafri said, "We have decided to extend the dates of entrance exams as 12th class exams are underway and they overlap with entrance exams".

"The last date for submission of applications will also be extended from May 12 to May 25," he further added. The official notification for the same is expected to be released soon on the official website of the Jamia Millia Islamia at jmi.ac.in.

JMI Entrance Exam 2022: Important Dates

JMI Entrance Test 2022 will be held to shortlist candidates for the admission process for sessions 2022-23. The entrance test will cover admission to JMI Courses 2022 such as UG, PG, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, MPhil, Ph.D., and certificate courses.

As per the schedule, the registration process for the JMI Entrance Test 2022 has also been extended till May 25, 2022. Interested and eligible applicants who wish to apply for JMI Admission 2022 can now submit their registrations for the entrance test at jmi.ac.in.

Earlier, Jamia Millia Islamia announced that it will include CUET 2022 as mandatory admission criteria for BA (Hons) Hindi, BA (Hons) Sanskrit, BA (Hons) French, and Francophone Studies, and BA (Hons) Spanish and Latin American Studies.

Additionally, the selection of applicants for BA (Hons) Economics, BA (Hons) History, BSc in Biotechnology and BVoc (Solar Energy), BSc (Hons) Physics, and BA (Hons) Turkish Language and Literature program will also be done based on CUET 2022.
