JNTU Hyderabad to Offer BTech in AI and Machine Learning from Session 2022-23


New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Hyderabad is now all set to launch its new BTech Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at its Hyderabad and Sultanpur campuses for the academic session of 2022-23. 

As per JNTU Hyderabad, the admission intake for BTech Course in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning course will be 60 seats. Interested candidates who wish to apply for the program will be able to apply for admissions on the official website of the university at jntuh.ac.in.

After the application process, registered candidates will be shortlisted for admission seats for JNTU Hyderabad BTech Admission 2022 through Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2022 admission counselling. 

Informing about JNTU Hyderabad BTech Course 2022, Vice-Chancellor Prof Katta Narasimha Reddy said, "The university is introducing BTech AI and ML on its campus colleges in Hyderabad and Sultanpur from this academic year".

He further added that the university will now send a proposal to the state government asking permission to regularise the self-financed courses that have successfully completed three academic years. 

In addition to this, JNTU Hyderabad has increased the seat intake of its MTech course by 12. Earlier there were only 18 seats offered to students under the MTech program, which has now increased to 30 seats for the current academic session. 

The university is now in the process of filling up the vacant admission seats after all rounds of admission counselling for a few of its undergraduate courses for sessions 2022-23. The admission seats are now offered to registered candidates through spot admissions. 

Referring to the launch of BTech program, University Vice Chancellor stated that the JNTU Hyderabad is also likely to offer a dual degree program with engineering and BBA Data Analytics in the coming academic session. 

“In the dual degree program, 70 percent of the BBA course work will be online. Only engineering students are eligible to pursue the dual degree program. Students will also be given the credit transfer provision,” he added.
