New Delhi: NTA has started the application process for CUET PG 2022. With the opening up of Common University Entrance Test PG registration window, central universities in the Nation Capital are mulling over their decision to use it for admission or not.
CUET PG 2022 applications have commenced. Candidates applying for admission to PG courses in central and state universities are required to complete the registration process for the entrance exam till June 18, 2022. The entrance exam will tentatively be conducted in the third week of July, 2022.
While Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) has confirmed to use CUET PG 2022 for admission to its PG courses, the other two central universities in the country’s capital, Delhi University (DU) and Jamia Milia Islamia (JMI) declared that their admission process will not be conducted via the centralized entrance exam.
The authority at the both the prestigious varsity have informed that the admission process for PG courses have already begun through old measures and changing the mode of admission at such a short notice is not possible.
In this matter, the UGC chairman, M. Jagadesh Kumar has already mentioned that CUET PG 2022 is not compulsory to be adopted by all central universities.

DU registrar Vikas Gupta had said that since the postgraduate entrance exam has not been made mandatory unlike CUET UG 2022, hence the university has decided to not opt for the test. So far, the university has been conducting its own entrance exams for the PG courses.
The proposal for adopting CUET PG will be discussed with various stakeholders of the university this year. It is most likely that DU may adopt the entrance exam from next year onwards.
About CUET PG 2022
CUET PG 2022 is an entrance exam which will be conducted for the first time for admission to a total of 42 central, state and deemed universities are participating in CUET PG 2022.
The list also includes the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The entrance exam will tentatively be conducted in the third week of July, 2022.
