JoSAA First Mock Allotment 2020 Released; Check Details Here


The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the first mock seat allocation on October 12, 2020. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check the same through the JoSAA candidate portal on the official website by entering JEE Main application number and password. 

The first JoSAA 2020 mock allotment has been declared for students who submitted their choice filling by October 11, 2020. 

The JoSAA 2020 mock seat allotment provides the counseling first-round result by considering the options and order of preference of the choices provided by the registered candidates.

JoSAA's first mock allocation of seats will help students to know what they can get in the first JoSAA counseling session. Following this process, candidates will get an opportunity to do rectifications in the order of preference and choices filled by them.

  • Search for the direct mock allotment link available on the homepage.
  • Log in by entering JEE Main application number, password, and security PIN. 
  • Check your mock allotment status and download it for future references.

The reason behind declaring JoSAA 2020 first mock seat allotment is for candidates to check they filled all the details during JoSAA choice filling. If they cannot find the best options in JoSAA seat allocation in the first mock round, they can do alterations in their choices.

The admission authorities are ready to declare JoSAA 2020 second mock seat allocation on October 14, 2020. The same will be declared for those candidates who will submit the JoSAA choice filling by October 13, 2020.

This year, the candidates who are allotted seats need to complete all the process online. Until last year, they required candidates to complete the process by visiting the institute. 

The JoSAA-2020 Registration process is compulsory for any qualified candidate wishing to enroll in any of the IITs, NITs, IIITs (Triple-I-Ts) as well as Other-GFTIs (within the vision of JoSAA-2020).

Students must upload all necessary documents and pay seat acceptance fee to accept allotted seats (and take part in JoSAA-2020 until the final seat allocation round) as per the details mentioned at http://josaa.nic.in.
