Kashmir University: MBBS Examinations postponed Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic


As per the recent reports of Kashmir University, it has recently announced the postponement of the MBBS exams till further date. The decision for the same has been made considering the protests of the Medicos.

It has also been notified by the Kashmir University through a notice that the regular and the supplementary MBBS exams have been postponed till further notice.

Previously, Kashmir university had announced that exam for the first-year MBBS students examination will be conducted from August 10 and examinations for the students in Jammu should be scheduled from August 17.

Many students expressed their concerns on the decision made by the university. Students stated that due to the pandemic, several areas of the state have been marked as red zones and transportation is also closed in many of the containment zones.

Students are afraid of the situation and writing exams in such difficult situations would mean risking their lives.

A section of candidates also brought the issue of extremely difficult level which will be faced by the candidates from the remote areas to travel such a long distance and reach the examination centre on time.

Following these concerns, students requested the concerned authorities to postpone the exams until situation normalises.
