The rank list will be prepared based on GATE scores of applicants. DTE, Kerala will release a separate list for admission to government-aided and private engineering colleges.

Kerala M.Tech 2020: Reservation Criteria for Admission
Candidates belonging to certain reserved categories are eligible to seek admission based on reservation criteria formulated by the Government of India. DTE Kerala will provide seats to M.Tech aspirants of reserved categories such as SC, ST, SEBC and Physically retarded candidates.

Such candidates have to present their category certificates at the time of admission, otherwise, the reservation will be cancelled. Reserved seats to be distributed among candidates based on general reservation regulations set by the state government of Kerala.
SEBC (OBC) and OEC categorised candidates need to present their certificate as proof that they do not belong to Creamy Layer.

Kerala M.Tech Admission 2020: Documents Required
Candidates who are allotted seats have to report to the admission venue with the documents as mentioned below.
- GATE score card (Candidates applying through GATE)
- Sponsorship certificate (For sponsored candidates)
- Class 10th mark sheet and certificate
- Class 12th mark sheet and certificate
- Nativity certificate of Kerala (For non-GATE students)
- Mark sheets of each semester
- Degree/Provisional certificate
- Community certificate/Disability certificate (reserved category)
Kerala M.Tech 2020: Cutoff
After each round of counselling, DTE will release the cutoffs for the following round. Cutoffs refer to the minimum score that candidates need to secure in order to seek admission through a certain counselling round.

Kerala M.Tech Admission 2020: Counselling Process
Kerala M.Tech Admission 2020 includes two rounds of the counselling process. Based on the order in the rank list, candidates will be called for the counselling process.
Seats will be allotted based on GATE scores, choices filled by candidates and total available seats.

Students who will be allotted seats need to download the provisional allotment letter. Further students have to report to the allotted college, pay fees and confirm admission.
If seats are vacant even after counselling, candidates from Kerala who did not take GATE exams will be allotted seats. Candidates of other states are allotted seats if vacancy prevails after the admission of non-GATE candidates.
Kerala M.Tech Spot Admission 2020
DTE Kerala conducts spot admission which is a centralised process in case seats are not filled. All the candidates in the rank list can apply for spot admission.
Candidates provided seats through spot admission have to confirm their seats by paying a fee within the stipulated time.
Colleges can also conduct their spot admission process, rank list for which will be separately released.
