Kerala University B.Ed Admissions 2020: Last Date to Apply Extended; Apply by Nov 22, Check Details Here


The University of Kerala (KU) has extended the date for admissions to its B.Ed course to November 22. Admissions to the course are done by individual colleges on the basis of the merit list prepared by the University. Applicants can refer to this article or visit the site for more details; keralauniversity.ac.in.

The applicants will need to register themselves by filling the application form as prescribed by the KU. The candidates will be ranked on the basis of their scores in Part 3rd of their degree. Candidates will then be called for the interview and selected applicants will be able to join the course.

Kerala University B.Ed: Eligibility Criteria

The aspirants will need to meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for admission.

Age: There is no upper age limit criteria for B.Ed courses at Kerala University

Educational Qualification: Applicants should have a BA/BSc degree under the 10+2+3 pattern from Kerala University or any other recognized University. Applicants should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in all three years of the course and should have 50% marks in PG for the concerned subject. 

Other than this, every sub specialization of the B.Ed course has a different requirement which the applicant can check by visiting the website of the University of Kerala.

Kerala University B.Ed: Application Process

The application process will be done in an offline manner. The aspirants will need to buy the application form from the institute that he wants to apply to. Only the application forms which are complete in all areas will be approved.

In case some forms are found lacking, the candidature of the applicant will be rejected. After the application process is over, the merit list will be released by the University.

Kerala University B.Ed: Documents Required

Along with the application form, the aspirant will need to attach the following documents with the application form. 

  • Self-attested copy of SSLC
  • Self-attested copy of mark sheet of all semesters of the degree
  • Copy of provisional degree certificate
  • Copy of domicile certificate
  • Self-attested copy of reservation certificate
  • Self-attested copy of NSS/NCC certificate
  • Degree of Equivalency and Eligibility certificate issued from Kerala University
