The research in the science and technology fields will support society as the university is moving ahead to become a digital society, wherein Artificial Intelligence has become an integral part in daily life activities including in the healthcare sector, he said.

Further, he said that the new study departments will scrutinize the flow of students for higher education to other states and abroad. Also, the research can be redefined to satisfy the community's requirements, which will enhance research and entrepreneurship in new sectors.

Talking about the approval of nine departments, Ajayakumar said that the varsity is waiting for the chancellor's approval and once it's approved, the university officials will decide the following details like admission procedure, total number of seats, total intake of students, etc.
