New Delhi: Beating the July 18 deadline, colleges in Kolkata have already come up with their admission portals. Candidates can now apply for admission to UG Courses from July 18, 2022. The deadline was set by the government after it deferred the roll-out of the centralised admission structure at the end of June.
Colleges in Kolkata were left with fewer than two weeks to build individual admission portals and the necessary infrastructure to conduct the admissions. The institutes have managed to set up their portals ahead of schedule. They have updated the portals with important dates, admission guidelines, documents needed for applications, and other information for the convenience of applicants.
Candidates can now begin applying online for UG Courses from July 18, as previously requested by the education department. Applications for Lady Brabourne College will begin at 9 am on July 18 and continue until 11 pm on August 2. On August 6, subject-wise proviso merit lists will be unveiled. Candidates will have two days to report errors before taking admission to Lady Brabourne College.
Admission to Seth Anandram Jaipuria College is also open for applications until July 18. The infrastructure is in place, and applications will begin receiving on July 18, said principal Asok Mukhopadhyay.
Bethune College's admission portal has all the information one needs to access the database, which includes the number of seats available in each subject and the eligibility requirements for different courses. A brief guide has also been provided on how to register before starting the application process. According to a college official, “We have shared all of the relevant information to ensure that applicants are aware of their applications and have their documents ready when they apply.”
Ashutosh College has also released the notification for admissions. For all the admission-related information, students should refer to the website, said Asutosh College's principal, Apurba Ray.
Indrila Guha, the head of Basanti Devi College, said the admissions portal was up and running. On the website of the college, the complete application form, tuition structure, eligibility requirements, and other guidelines have already been posted. Applications will begin taking place on July 18, 2022.
