KTU Engineering Colleges to Begin Offline Classes from December 28; Check Details Here


KTU 2020: The Kerala Technological University (KTU) Engineering Colleges are directed to conduct their offline classes from December 28, 2020, onwards. The University directed the engineering colleges to permit the students to attend the classes of at least one semester in the college itself.

The University has also ordered to end the online classes of distinctive semesters by December 18, 2020. KTU has also released the detailed guidelines comprising the dates of beginning the next semester as well as semester exams.

KTU engineering colleges permit students a chance to attend offline classes so that they can actively participate in practicals, internal assessments, and theory portion discussions.

The students of MCA, integrated MCA 5th semester, MPlan 3rd semester, MArch, MTech, BArch 3rd semester, and BTech 7th semester are directed to attend the offline classes from December 28, 2020. 

The classes are supposed to continue till January 09, 2021, and exams are supposed to start from February 15. The reports also state that the next semester will start on March 1.

The classes for students of integrated MCA 5th and 7th semester, B.Arch 5th semester, BHMCT, and B.Tech will start from January 11, 2021. Exams will begin on March 01, and next semester will start from April 01. Other students will have offline classes in January and February.

The final exams of all semester exams will be in written mode for 100 marks each. The maximum score for MBA will be 60. As decided, the exams will be conducted for MBA for 42 marks, and other for 70 marks. Then the individual marks shall be converted to 100. This will be the final score of the semester. The exam will be conducted for a time duration of 2 hours and 15 minutes.

As per the 2019 scheme, the B.Tech. 3rd Semester’s sustainable engineering paper will be conducted by the respective colleges. The University will provide the question paper and two teachers will be invigilating the practical exams of these students. However, it also mentioned that the external invigilator can be replaced with a senior teacher of the same department.
