New Delhi: The Industrial Design Centre (IDC), along with IIT Bombay is all set to conduct the UCEED 2023 exam on January 22, 2023.
Only four institutes including IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur have participated in the UCEED 2023 exam to provide admission to candidates intending to pursue Bachelor of Design (BDes) programs.
However, the Department of Design, IIT Delhi will also be participating in the exam to provide admission to candidates to the BDes program from the academic year 2023 onwards.
Candidates may also be admitted to the BDes programmes provided by other private design schools accepting UCEED scores in addition to the participating institutes.
Every year, there's an increasing number of UCEED result-sharing institutes, and the list for the same is shared by IIT Bombay. A total of 19 universities and colleges accepted candidates' UCEED scores on a result-sharing basis in 2022 (as well as in 2019). Further, a total of 23 universities and colleges (apart from the collaborating institutes) accepted UCEED scores in 2020 for admission to their BDes programmes.
The UCEED admission process is such that aspirants need to first appear for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED). Thereafter, candidates who qualify and make it to the UCEED rank list are required to apply separately at the respective colleges that offer admission based on an aspirant's UCEED rank.

UCEED 2022: Result-sharing Institutes
Apart from the participating institutes, there are some other Design colleges and universities that offer admission to the BDes programmes based on the candidate's UCEED result. However, these colleges and universities do not take part in Joint Admission Counselling conducted by IIT Bombay.
