LPU Achieves Scopus h-index 100 Milestone

New Delhi: As per the latest updates, Lovely Professional University (LPU) has reached another milestone by achieving an overall ‘h-index’ of 100 in the SCOPUS Database of Research Publications of Universities across the world.

As per LPU, the university focuses on multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary research and it has published over 100 papers with 100 citations in high-impact journals. Following this effort, it has achieved an 'h' index of 100 in a relatively short amount of time.

The “h-index” or “Hirsch index” of any institution represents the highest number of citations received for the publications of that institution. It measures the impact of the institution and its scientists across the world.

This achievement is a result of the university’s continuous qualitative and quantitative scientific research endeavours. As of now, Lovely Professional University has a total of 11000+ publications and 84000+ citations indexed in SCOPUS.

Speaking on this occasion, LPU Chancellor Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal said, “Right from the inception of the university, our endeavors have always been to bring forth result-oriented research works for the betterment of the society”.

“Many international and national conferences are organized with global stalwarts in diverse research fields, where top researchers keep on getting unique opportunities to publish their ideas in Scopus-indexed publications”, he added.

Earlier, the university established its Division of Research and Development (DRD) with the goal of advancing and supporting interdisciplinary research in various areas of STEM, Humanities, and Management.

In addition to this, the LPU Division of Research and Development aims to strengthen inter- and intra-institution research collaborations and provide support by fostering well-equipped labs and equipment required for research initiatives.
