Lucknow University Introduces Three Papers on Women Leadership, Gender Violence at UG Level

The two new vocational courses started by Lucknow University include Women and Entrepreneurship Skill Development and Women, Leadership and Management, as well as a co-curricular course, Gender, Violence, and Mental Health.

The two UG vocational courses of Lucknow University will assist students in gaining a practical understanding of the disciplines. The concept of entrepreneurship, with a focus on creating women entrepreneurs, will guide students in obtaining jobs in NGOs and organisations that seek to generate employment for women's groups, as well as assisting them in starting their own businesses stated the coordinator of the institute Archana Shukla.

The purpose of introducing a paper on women's leadership is to help students strengthen their leadership and management skills. This course equips students with the abilities necessary to be effective managers and leaders.

According to Shukla, the paper 'gender, violence, and mental health' will be taught to help students deal with challenges in real-life situations and to educate them on how gender-based violence affects mental health. It allows students to specialize in gender-based violence and counselling, which is a subject with a high employment rate right now.

Earlier, BCom Semester II students were asked by Lucknow University to pick one of the practical courses and attend classes as per the timetable. The notification also stated that students must choose at least one paper.

Introduction to Statistical Data Analysis, Financial Literacy and Banking, Computer Application and Data Management, and Counselling and Guidance are among the new courses offered by the faculty of commerce.
