LU UG Admissions 2021: Lucknow University (LU) has announced plans to include the concepts related to the Covid-19 pandemic in its four-year undergraduate course in accordance with the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Candidates who are interested in applying for Lucknow University (LU) Admission 2021 must note that the course curriculum of UG Courses will now include concepts related to the present scenario and challenges faced by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In accordance with the announcement made by the university, the Lucknow University Faculty Members have already passed the syllabus to the academic council for further discussion.
Lucknow University’s academic council will now conduct a meeting on July 17, 2021, to discuss the final decision on adding covid-19 related concepts in the four-year undergraduate course syllabus.
Referring to the adding Covid-19 concepts in LU UG Courses 2021, LU Psychology Coordinator Archana Shukla said, "Our four-year UG courses focus on providing student employability at every step, hence, concepts which are the need of the hour have been included".
"For the first time, we will be teaching school mental health that will include studying and researching about the mental health of both teachers and students" she further added.

Expressing her concerns over the increase of stress and anxiety level among students due to the pandemic situation, she added that Lucknow University's decision to add major concepts of Covid-19 in the program will also help students in receiving better employability.
Adding to the same, Social Work Department Head, Anoop Kumar Bhartiya added, "To make the course job-oriented we have focused more on fieldwork in our new UG syllabus. For learning a concept, a student has to go among the people to explore and find out challenges".
He further added that the Social Work Department will teach the students about the organization of the people, institutions, and resources which helps needed people in the time of pandemic and provide support to target populations.

LU Faculty Member added that the Lucknow University has also made some plans in adding some changes to the political science courses syllabus with respect to the current coronavirus pandemic situation.
"The varsity has also included one paper on contemporary global issues that talks about how international politics is going to change after the pandemic," said LU faculty member.
