Departments will no longer be able to distribute different degrees of the same course in Lucknow University(LU). University administration has taken an important decision in this regard.
The University administration formed the committee on Thursday. After considering degrees the committee will submit its report on July 10, 2020. Check Official Notification Released by LU
Lucknow University has many departments which distribute different degrees of the same course in two faculties.
The University's department of mathematics, for example, runs MA Mathematics courses as well as MSc Mathematics courses.
Similarly, the Department of Statistics offers courses on MA Statistics and MSc Statistics.
Forensic science and anthropology are similar departments which offer degrees in both the arts and the faculty of science.

The Registrar, Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh, issued this Order.
"There is confusion in some University departments. Departments also offer an MA and an MSc degree in the same subject.
Both degrees have the same syllabus. Keeping that in mind, we are considering changes.
For that, a committee was formed. This will also eliminate the problems of the students, "says Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, vice-chancellor of Lucknow University
New Amendment: Evaluation of Teachers Comes into Play
Lucknow University will assess its teachers ' performance from now on. Prof. Alok Kumar Rai made it clear that the teachers will be judged on the basis of aspects like how many classes the teacher had been taking, what they did in practice and guidance, what was the outcome of class with this and other related points. The information will be taken on the basis of these points and the teacher will be evaluated accordingly. For this purpose, the official notice will be released.
