New Delhi: The University of Madras has announced the decision of postponing the April 2022 semester exams from June 2 to June 15, 2022.
The exam authority took this decision after taking into account the requests of affiliated colleges, seeking more time to complete the syllabus for the Madras University semester exam 2022.
The university released a notification following speculations that had gone viral on social media about the change in the Semester Exam 2022.
The notification states that the regular April 2022 theory examinations scheduled to commence from June 2, 2022 have been postponed and rescheduled to commence from June 15, 2022 onwards and the same will be displayed in the university notice board for the benefit of the students.
The university sent out the notification to all the MU-affiliated arts and science colleges regarding the postponement of semester exams.
The students had raised concerns over the incomplete syllabus due to extended lockdowns. With several classes being disrupted or missed during the academic year. The semester exams would now be conducted according to the revised schedule.
Thus, the students are advised to check the notice board of their respective colleges for the updated time tables.
The Madras University Exam 2022 postponement is a major relief to all the students of the Arts and Science Colleges functioning under the University of Madras. Now, the semester exam for all the courses will be held from June 15, giving the students 10 more days to prepare for the aforesaid exam.
In other news, the university will conduct the MSc Biochemistry (Regular and self-supportive) entrance examination in 1-hour single session on June 29, 2022, from 10:30 am to 11.30 am.
At present, the university is conducting admissions to the postgraduate courses. Candidates seeking admission to the PG, diploma, and certificate courses offered by the university can visit the official portal @www.unom.ac.in and submit the online application form till July 16, 2022.
