New Delhi: As per the latest updates, Maharashtra MBBS Admission 2022 is most likely to receive 1250 fresh seats in the 2nd round of admission conducted by the state’s CET cell. In addition to the newly available ones, some seats are from the first round of admission as well.
420 seats out of the newly available seats are from the 670 ones which were waiting for approval from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), 85 seats are from the newly approved Sindhudurg College and 735 seats are vacant ones from the first round of admission.

A generous amount of the seats available from the first round will be from the NRI quota. As per Sudha Shenoy, the parent representative has pointed out that since almost one-third of the 1250 seats are from the NRI Quota, students can receive around 750 seats.
Out of 670 seats, 150 seats in the ACPM Medical College in Dhule, are yet to receive approval. This is due to a court case leading to its derecognition by the NMC.
Maharashtra MBBS Admission 2022: Highlights
- Maharashtra state cell offers around 9000 MBBS seats and 3526 seats in BDS programs respectively. Admission is also be offered in AYUSH, Nursing, Physiotherapy, etc courses.
- Medical aspirants can use the NEET 2021 College Predictor to get a list of the colleges accepting NEET 2021 scores in the state medical colleges.
As per a University official, the state is yet to release a Government resolution for the Tasgaonkar College, newly opened in Karjat. Except for these 250 seats, the rest are mostly approved by the MUHS. The university, however, is yet to release a finalised list.
Since seats in the new Government college in Sindhudurg have already been approved, the state CET cell already received preferences from students. These seats will also be included in the second round of admission.
The second round of admission is most likely to be conducted during the coming week. During the first round of admission, a total of 5866 seats from the 43 Government and private colleges in the state participated in the centralised process.
In the case of Dental admission, 50% of the 2675 seats are vacant for the second round admission. Out of the 2501 seats allotted, only 1338 students joined the course.
