December 15, 2020: Maharashtra CET cell will soon begin Maharashtra Professional Courses Admission 2021 i.e. MBA and Engineering on or before December 2020 end.
Additionally, Maharashtra CET 2020 cell had paused ITI Admission 2021 until further notice, but as reported the admissions will commence soon with immediate effect.
Directorate of Vocational Education and Training has issued the Maharashtra state general administration department’s decision on the commencement of the ITI Admission Process 2020 for the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC).

According to the Supreme Court’s order issued on September 9, 2020, the SEBC will not be categorized under the “Reserved Category” section in 2020. Round-1 admission application process had begun on August 01, 2020, and ended on September 09, 2020.
As per the official statement, 27,000 students were admitted during the first round. Over 2,000 students among the total number of admitted students belonged to the SEBC category.
The Government of Maharashtra has officially invalidated the allotment of 12% Maratha quota for Academic Session 2020, as the Supreme Court had stayed the SEBC quota.

Seat allotment structure for the admission process has been reconstructed by the student education department. Earlier, the students under the SEBC quota had applied under the reserved category section.
The Directorate has allowed the SEBC students to make the required corrections in the application forms. They can apply under the general category or select a different category (*if applicable) till 5 PM on November 30, onwards.
The State Government had also permitted the application for students who had either forfeited seats because of rejection or waitlisting in the second merit list. Generally, students had to wait for the release of the special merit list.

Junior colleges in the states are concerned about the loss of academic time this year as several months of learning are already lost by the students owing to the delay. Colleges will start the conduction of classes after 75% of seats are filled at least.
