MCC to Conduct NEET Counselling for Stray Vacancy Round for the Available Medical Seats

New Delhi: The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has issued the seat matrix for NEET Counselling stray vacancy round seats for MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing admissions 2022.

The seats are part of the AIIMS/ Delhi University Quota/ Central Institutes Quota/ JIPMER/ Employees State Insurance Scheme (ESI)/ and B.Sc. Nursing Delhi NCR institutes/ All India Quota/ Open Seat Quota.

For NEET UG Counseling, 986 seats, including 370 MBBS seats and 616 BDS seats, are available in considered institutes, according to the seat matrix. 740 seats, including 218 MBBS, 313 BDS, and 209 BSc Nursing seats, are available under the AIQ quota.

Authorities had opted to postpone the Stray Vacancy Round so that the states could finish their Mop Up Round and there would be no interjection between the Stray Vacancy Round of MCC and Mop round of states because the Mop Up Round of UG Counseling 2022 of many states was postponed and is over by December 18, 2022.

NEET Counseling Stray Vacancy Round: Important Dates

The UG Counseling Stray Vacancy Round has been extended according to the following schedule:

*Aspirants who do not desire to participate in the MCC-conducted Stray Vacancy Round of Undergraduate Counseling in 2022 may go into their account and use the "OPT OUT" option on the MCC website to avoid losing their security deposit. (The schedule for the same ended at 6:00 PM on December 20, 2022).

According to the selections they made in the Mop-up round of UG Counseling 2022, as detailed in the Information Bulletin, the applicants who participate in the stray vacancy round will be assigned seats.

The applicants are now encouraged to take note that the 28th of December 2022 is the deadline for joining or admission (for MBBS) in the undergraduate counselling 2022 to be held by states.

For BDS and B.Sc. (Nursing) seats, there will be a second mop-up round along with a stray vacancy round; the date for these rounds will be posted on the MCC website soon, the MCC added in the notice.
