MHT CET 2020 Result for Professional Courses to be Released by Dec 05; Details Here


November 26, 2020: Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education minister Uday Samant has made an announcement stating that MH CET 2020 results will be released by December 05, 2020.

Uday Samant tweeted about MHT CET 2020 results on his official Twitter account mentioning that the centralized admission process (CAP) for all professional engineering, B.Ed., Law courses will commence from the first week of December 2020.

Additionally, Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET) cell has informed the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) about delays in technical admissions including engineering course admission across the State.

Maharashtra CET Cell has sought more time for conducting admissions based on MHT CET Law and for technical courses till the end of December.

According to AICTE’s recent directive, the council had directed all states to complete their respective admission process by December 05 and commence the academic session 2020-2021 from December 01, 2020.

However, the Maharashtra government informed AICTE that colleges can only start their academic session 2020-21 in January 2021 as the institutions will take more time to complete MH CET 2020 admissions.

Moreover, the State has also sought an extension from the Council of Architecture for admission to various architecture courses till December 15, 2020. 

Rajiv Mishra, Director at Directorate of Art stated that the council has permitted the extension considering the prevailing Covid-19 situation in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET) cell has conducted the entrance exams for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses from October 1 to October 20, 2020. MHT CET 2020 Answer Key was released on Nov 12 on their official website: mhtcet2020.mahaonline.gov.in.

About 7 lakh students had appeared for MHT CET 2020 exam for admission to 13 UG courses.

Out of 7 lakh applications, nearly 5 Lakh applications were for MHT CET 2020 pharmacy and engineering courses.
