New Delhi: Mizoram University has decided to accept the scores of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 for admission to its undergraduate courses for the academic session 2022-23.
Candidates seeking admission to the UG courses offered at Mizoram University will have to register for CUET 2022 till 5PM on May 22, 2022 and sit for the CUET 2022 exam, which will be held in the first week of July 2022.
Post the completion of the exam, the NTA will prepare the final answer key, after which CUET 2022 results will be released by the agency.
Candidates must have obtained a valid score in CUET 2022 to be eligible for admissions into MZU UG courses for the academic year 2022-23.
Further, the candidate's selection will also be based on the admission criteria, eligibility, rank in the merit list, medical fitness, verification of original documents, and such other criteria prescribed by MZU for UG admissions.
The varsity will declare the counselling/ admission schedule and merit list based on the CUET (UG) score and the other criteria, after the release of the CUET 2022 Results.
MZU offers a total of 23 UG courses in different subjects like B.A. in Economics, English, Geography, History, Philosophy, Political Science, etc. Whereas B.Sc courses are offered in specializations like Botany, Biotechnology, Chemistry, EVS, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology, Statistics, etc.
Therefore, It is mandatory for candidates aspiring to pursue an undergraduate course from a central university, must attempt the CUET 2022 examination, which will be a computer-based test.
CUET 2022 will also be applicable for admission into UG courses of Pachhunga University College, which is a constituent college of MZU.
MZU Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for UG courses at the MZU through the CUET 2022 scores must have passed the Class 10+2 examinations or equivalent with 50% marks for General and OBC candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Additionally, the subject requirements might differ depending on the course the candidates are applying for.
MZU Admission 2022: How to Apply for CUET 2022?
After completing the CUET 2022 Registration form, candidates must follow the step-by-step process outlined below:
Step 1: Visit the CUET official website.
Step 2: Click on the 'CUET Registration 2022' link.
Step 3: Enter the required details and submit the Application form.
Step 4: Log in with your credentials, which will be generated following registration (User ID and Password).
Step 5: Upload the mandatory documents.
Step 6: Submit the form and take a printout for further reference.
Recently, TISS Mumbai, Jamia Hamdard, and six universities have announced to accept CUET 2022 scores to admit students in the UG courses.
