BHU Admission 2021: More than 4 Lakhs Applications Received for UG, PG, Agricultural Science Courses; Read BHU UET, PET Details Here


Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has received over 4 lakh applications for admission to the university in the academic year 2021. Candidates need to appear in the BHU Undergraduate Entrance Test, UET, and the BHU Postgraduate Entrance Test, PET to get admission conducted by the National Testing Agency, NTA. 

Banaras Hindu University has received over 80,000 applications for its Agricultural Science courses alone. In addition, the university got a large number of applicants for India's first Hinduism course.

The NTA administers the admission test in MCQ format, with a two-hour time limit. The exams will be conducted in computer-based testing (CBT) mode. It may also be taken via hybrid or pen and paper testing feature owing to administrative and logical considerations.

BHU UET 2021 will be held for students seeking admission to various UG programs of BHU in the academic year 2021-22 along with vocational and professional programs such as BEd, Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Lab Technology, Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Applications, and others.

The paper will include 150 questions, with total marks of 450. For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded 3 marks while for each incorrect answer, there will be negative marking (-1). The common feature for all programs is that all the question papers follow the same marking scheme. 

Meanwhile, BHU Postgraduate Entrance Test (PET) is conducted for admissions to its PG program offered in Humanities, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Science, Engineering, Commerce, Management, Mass Communication, Hospitality, Travel, and Teaching streams.

The syllabus is based on the subjects applied for, while the exam will be held on 360 marks for 120 MCQ type questions. 

Earlier, registration for BHU Admission 2021 through UET and PET exam started on August 14 and continued till September 12, 2021. Following which, application form corrections were scheduled from September 14-15, 2021.
