MU Announces Exam Dates for Summer Sessions; Check Details Here


New Delhi: Mumbai University has finally announced the examination dates for the summer sessions. 

According to the announcement made by Mumbai University, the semester VI exams for traditional and self-financed courses will be held online and question banks will be provided to the students.

In contrast, the exams for professional courses such as engineering, management, law among others will be conducted in offline format.

The university will conduct the exams for the summer sessions from April 19, 2022 for traditional and self-financed courses through the online mode, whereas the practical assessment will be done in offline mode.

The TYBCom exams, TYBA and TYBSc exams will commence from April 21.

The university issued a statement, notifying that several students apply for institutions abroad after the completion of exams and so their results are required to be declared in time. 

Considering that and other aspects such as strike of State Transport (ST) buses, Covid conditions in different regions of MU’s jurisdiction, limited hostel facilities among all; the varsity has decided to hold the semester VI exams of traditional and self-financed courses in online mode, the MU statement said. 

Earlier, last month, MU released a statement clarifying that upcoming exams for most courses and departments will be held offline in summer 2022. 

The statement revealed that undergraduate arts, commerce and science semester 2 regular and backlog exams will be conducted offline. Whereas the semesters 1, 3 and 5 backlog exams will be held online. Both regular and backlog exams of semester 4 will be conducted online.

In case of postgraduate exams, semester 2 and 4 regular and backlog exams will be conducted in the offline mode while the backlog exams for semester 1 and 3 will be conducted online for all commerce, arts and science courses.

The MU statement highlighted that the offline examination for PG students will include 50% multiple choice questions (MCQs) and 50% descriptive type questions. 

Further, the university has notified that the exams for all batches of professional courses including Management, Technology, Inter-Faculty and Management exams for semesters 1 to 4 regular and backlog exams will be conducted offline. 

Recently, MU issued examination guidelines for all affiliated institutes for the upcoming Mumbai University Exams 2022.
