MUHS: Divisional Centre of the University to Come Up in Latur; Details Here


December 19, 2020: Nashik-based Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) is set to establish a divisional center as an educational hub in the Marathwada region of the state. 

On December 18, 2020, Medical Education Minister, and guardian minister of Latur district, Amit Deshmukh stated that the State Government of Maharashtra has planned to sanction the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) divisional center in Latur.

Central Maharashtra City owns divisional offices of at least 25 to 30 government departments, including the charity, water resources, co-operative, transport, and health. 

After the functioning began at the MUHS Nashik headquarter, its divisional centers were originated at five places i.e. Kolhapur, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Pune, and Mumbai.

The official statement mentioned that the divisional center at Aurangabad will be bifurcated to build the MUHS facility in Latur.

MUHS has also announced its 20th Convocation Ceremony and is scheduled to take place in the month of January next year. According to the notification, the call will be conducted through online mode. 

The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences is a higher education institution in Nashik, Maharashtra. It was established on June 03, 1998, as a government-run University. MUHS grants affiliations to colleges and institutions that impact health science education across the state.

The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate studies including Ph.D. in all branches of health sciences. UG program includes the courses of MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, and BDS, while the PG program comprises the MD, MS, M.Sc, and other PG Diploma courses.
