MUHS Exam 2020: Summer Exams pushed back a month, Starts from August 4


Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), postponed the summer exams 2020 of medical courses by a month. Now the theory and practical exams are scheduled to be held from August 4, 2020. 

As of now, MUHS has published all the complete exam time tables for courses it offers. They are made available on the MUHS official website for MBBS, B.D.S, B.H.M.S, B.U.M.S, B.A.M.S, Basic B.Sc nursing, P.B. B.Sc. Nursing, B.S.L.P, B.P.O, BPTh and B.O.Th courses.

Students can check the MUHS Summer Examination 2020 circulars published for respective from the MUHS website. 

Ajit Pathak, Controller of Examinations, MUHS said, “Final year exams for allopathy, dental, homoeopathy, nursing, Unani and Ayurveda will start from August 7, For other classes and streams, it will be on August 17, 2020.”

Earlier the MUHS Final Year examinations were to begin from July 16 and end by July 27. Post which, Deelip Mhaisekar, Vice-Chancellor and Senior officials instructed its exam department to create schedules for various medical courses.

Further, MUHS has still not declared the dates for PG allopathy (MD and MS exams), citing the reason as students are engaged in the frontline, treating COVID-19 patients. Hence, students took to demanding postponement of exams, lacking time for preparations. 

This postponement was declared soon after Maharashtra CM wrote to PMO India, for cancelling PG exams for Medical colleges in the state. The letter also included a request to the Medical Council of India allowing MUHs to postpone exams conducted by the university.
