New Delhi: Mumbai University results of 15,000 final year students are held in reserve for May 2021 examination. The university cited reason as, the scores of students from their lower exams were not updated in their systems.
Due to the delay in system update, several thousand undergraduate and postgraduate students of Mumbai University are still waiting for their result release for the May 2021 session examination.
Talking about the issue, Senate Member Sudhakar Tamboli said, every year, the university faces the same issue for its various Mumbai University courses. Over 5,000-18,000 student results are stuck for more than a year or two due to system error.
Mumbai University takes a long time in preparing and updating the result for its UG or PG Course for students. Due to this, students are facing difficulties in pursuing their higher education.

Adding to the statement, Sudhakar informed that as of now, maximum Mumbai University Results are kept on hold for commerce stream students. The officials of the university need to solve this issue between the colleges.
Explaining the situation, Director, Board of Examinations and Evaluations, Vinod Patil said that university results are kept on hold mainly because students are unable to clear their first and second-year examinations, which further causes delay in result updates.
“Sometimes, even when they do, the marks are not uploaded by colleges on the portal in time. Their results are released as and when students clear their lower exams and their scores are given to the university” he added.
Bhagyashri Mahamuni, a student of the Ghatkopar College batch of TYBCom 2017 stated that she is still waiting for her final result release. After pursuing the course from the university, she still hasn’t received her mark sheet which has caused her to lose various job opportunities.
