Mumbai University Semester Exams 2020 to be held in December; Schedule Releasing Soon; Details Here


Mumbai University (MU) is likely to conduct semester-end exams in December 2020. The varsity will be releasing the exam schedule shortly, for all Arts, Science, and Commerce courses on its official website: mu.ac.in.

Mumbai University (MU) has decided upon conducting semester-end exams through online mode. Additionally, the varsity has made provisions of strict digital supervision during the exams.

Moreover, Mumbai University will be appointing vigilance squads to oversee the conduct of exams. The varsity will take strict actions in case of any malpractices.

Mumbai University has also decided that exams for 5th-semester students who are in their final year will be decentralized. 

For the convenience of students, exams for 5th-semester will be conducted at college level. However, exams for 1st and 2nd-year students will anyway be conducted in a decentralized manner.

Semester-end exam format for Mumbai University Science, Arts, and Commerce courses will consist of 25 multiple-choice questions. However, it is claimed that asked questions in exams would be of higher difficulty levels.

Although, there will definitely be a slight difference in the exam pattern for MU professional courses offered in the field of engineering and law.

Mumbai University has also directed its affiliated colleges to permit strict and extra vigilance. The varsity’s planned vigilance squad will be asked to visit colleges and seek photos or video footage of students taking exams online.

Tentatively, MU will commence the 2nd and 3rd-year examination first, while exams for 1st-year students will be conducted at the end of session. 

Since Mumbai University decided to use Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format for semester-end exams, it will skip the process of revaluation. Final decisions related to semester-end exams are yet to be taken by the Board of Examinations.
