Mumbai University Traditional Courses Exam in Online Mode

New Delhi: Mumbai University has opted to conduct all exams online. All colleges are urged to follow the updated examination guidelines, according to the Board of Examiners' decision.

According to the official circular, the same students who submit their forms for Mumbai University degree, postgraduate degree, and other forms should be examined in the first semester exams (March/April 2022).

Colleges have also been instructed to compile data on students, such as phone numbers, email addresses, and equipment, and develop a database.

Vinod Patil, Director, board of tests and evaluations, said in a statement released by Mumbai University that a huge number of students are enrolled in traditional programmes and that many rely on the final results to pursue higher education and careers.

“To announce the results on time, and taking note of the vaccination status of students, the strike of ST buses in rural districts and fewer students in hostels, the university has decided to hold the exams in the online mode,” Patil added.

However, the practical exams for these students would be held offline, according to Patil. While the university has announced the dates for all of the exams, a more comprehensive timetable is expected to be revealed soon. The university will provide a question bank as well as a standard timetable for the colleges.

The winter examinations, which are scheduled for October-November this year, will be held online to provide students and colleges adequate time to prepare, according to the statement.

In traditional courses, the final postgraduate exams will be conducted offline, with 50% subjective and 50% multiple-choice questions. Exams in university departments will be conducted in an offline mode as well.
