NIBMG PhD Admission 2021: Application Process Begins, Check Details Here

National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG), Kalyani, started online applications for admission to PhD Programme for the academic year 2021-22.

Interested candidates can fill their NIBMG application form before the last date, i.e., December 23, 2020. 

The shortlisted students are required to work on human diseases with prime focus on gaining biological insights into disease mechanisms using clinical samples and appropriate models, including silico and in vivo.

NIBMG PhD Admission 2021: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to check the eligibility criteria before applying for admissions to NIBMG based on two categories as follows:

Category A

• Master’s degree in any field of Biological Sciences (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Physiology, Biophysics, Computer Science, Zoology, Botany, or related disciplines).
• Students in the general category must have obtained a minimum of 55% aggregate in Master’s degree. This will be relaxed for reserved categories as they only need to qualify a Master's degree.
• Candidates must have passed in the junior research fellowship held by UGC, CSIR, ICMR, DBT (Category I only), NBHM, BINC, and must have a valid award letter of Research Fellowship during the interview.
• DST-INSPIRE students with a provisional certificate from DST can also apply. Candidates who have successfully completed for Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship or any other fellowship for the reserved categories are eligible to apply.

Category B

• Successful completion of an MBBS or B.Tech (Biotechnology) with minimum of 55% marks along with a valid junior research fellowship from UGC, CSIR, ICMR, DBT (category I only).
• Preference will be provided to students with demonstrable research training in the form of summer training or completed short-term courses in formed research laboratories in preparation for a research career in biomedical sciences

Step 1: Visit the official website apply.nibmg.ac.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, search for the link PhD Admission 2021.

Step 3: Register yourself through email id and password.

Step 4: After successful registration, the application form will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Enter personal information, including the name of the candidate, address, gender, etc.

Step 6: Mention the academic details.

Step 7: Upload recent scanned passport-size photo along with signature 

Step 8: Pay the Registration Fee in online mode

Step 9: Download the filled application form for future references.
