New Delhi: National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has begun the registration process for NIFT 2022 counselling in online mode on May 20. Candidates who have qualified for the entrance exam and GD/PI rounds can fill out the registration form on nift.ucanapply.com.
As per NIFT, eligible students need to register themselves through the online portal of the institute. They can do so by providing accurate academic details, uploading required documents and participating in the choice filling process.
NIFT 2022 Counselling is being conducted online as a joint seat allocation process for admission to 17 participating NIFT campuses. The entrance exam result was announced on May 17, 2022.

NIFT 2022: Counselling Process
The counselling process for admission to the courses offered at NIFT, includes five rounds of seat allocation. The allotment of seats will be based on the following criteria:
- The merit rank of the candidates in the NIFT 2022 Entrance Exam.
- The category-wise seat intake at the NIFT Participating institutes for the programmes applied to
- Category of admission requested
- Choices filled during the time of NIFT 2022 Registration.
- Any other relevant seat-allotment criteria.
NIFT 2022: Documents Required for Counselling Registration
Candidates must take a look at the below mentioned documents required for the counselling process:
- Self-attested copy of Class 12 exam marksheet
- Self-attested copy of Class 10 marksheet
- Self-attested copy of Class 10 certificate
- Latest photograph
- Valid PwD/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS certificate (if applicable)
- Undertaking in case of provisional admission
- Undertaking about eligibility, fees
- Medical fitness certificate
- Authorisation Letter for candidates who cannot attend the counselling process in person
NIFT Admission 2022: Steps to Register Online
Candidates can register and fill choices for the counselling process through the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1- Visit the official website of NIFT
Step 2- Click on the option ‘NIFT Counselling 2022’
Step 3- Click on the option ‘Click Here to Apply for Counselling’
Step 4- Fill in the counselling registration form with required academic details
Step 5- Upload the relevant documents in the prescribed format
Step 6- Choose the courses and NIFT campuses in your order of preference
Step 7- Make the payment and submit the form
Step 8- Take a printout of the filled-in form for future references
Note: Candidates who have already accepted a seat allotted by NIFT can withdraw that seat by reporting online starting from the second round and up to the final round of seat allotment. They can also withdraw before the announcement of the last round of NIFT 2022 Counselling.
Candidates will be able to receive the seat acceptance fee on the same account via which it was paid earlier. In case anyone fails to report after admission to a NIFT Campus, the full fee will be forfeited.
