To get admission to Post-Doctoral Fellowship offered by NIT Surathkal, the interested candidate needs to follow the eligibility criteria mentioned follows:

• Candidates should possess a PhD or equivalent doctorate degree which has been obtained in the past five years, in the field directly related to the appointee’s proposed research topic. 
• PhD Viva should be completed or a provisional degree certificate should be available on or before the submission date of application. 
• International researchers/ Indian citizens with foreign degrees must hold an advanced (Doctoral) degree that is equivalent to those provided by Indian Institutions. 
• Every prospective post-doctoral candidate must have acquired his/ her PhD degree from a University/ Institute recognized by the regulating authority in the respective country in which the research work has been conducted. 
• Candidates working as employees/Post-doc fellows should apply through proper channels, providing a no-objection certificate from the employing organization.

After the application process, the selection of applicants for Post-Doctoral Fellowship admission seats will be done on the basis of the below-mentioned criteria:

• To get admission to the Post-Doctoral Fellowship selected candidates must appear for the written test/interview conducted by the Departmental Post-Doctoral Selection Committee (DPDSC).
• Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for IPDSC (Institutional Level Post Doctoral Selection Committee). 
• Candidates selected as a Postdoctoral fellow with the institute fellowship shall be appointed for a period of two-year.

Step 1: Visit the institute’s official portal at nitk.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the registration link and register by entering the necessary details.

Step 3: Now, log in by entering the registration credentials and then fill out the online application with the necessary details.

Step 4: After filling, candidates have to pay the application fee of INR 500/- through SBI e-Collect.
