New Delhi: National Law University Odisha (NLUO) has begun the application process for admission to BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), LLM Programme. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official website at https://www.nluo.ac.in/.

NLUO offers BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), LLM Programme in the discipline of Law. Candidates seeking admission to theBA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), LLM program under NRI/NRI Sponsored /PIO/OCI categories can submit their applications till April 10, 2023.

NLOU Admission to the undergraduate LLB programs and postgraduate LLM program is done on the basis of merit in the Common Law Aptitude Test (CLAT) held across the country.

The university has announced that out of a total of 120 seats for BA LLB (Hons) and 60 seats for the BBA LLB (Hons) Programme, 15 seats (10 in BA LLB and 5 in BBA LLB) are allotted to NRI/NRI sponsored / PIO / OCI candidates. Similarly in LLM, programme 4 seats are allotted to NRI/NRI sponsored / PIO / OCI candidates.

NLUO Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission into the NLUO Programmes will have to meet the requisite eligibility criteria mentioned below. 

BA & BBA LLB: 

  • The eligibility is in accordance with that stipulated under the rules and regulations of the CLAT examination application.
  • The upper age limit is 22 years for a five years LLB course.
  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 level examination from a recognized board, i.e. CBSE / ISC / State Board or the equivalent.

LLM:

  • The eligibility is in accordance with that stipulated under the rules and regulations of the CLAT examination application.
  • There is no upper age limit for CLAT.
  • Candidates must have a valid LLB degree from a recognized law school / university in the country.
  • The minimum acceptable percentage at the undergraduate level is 55%, with a 5% relaxation for reserved categories. 

NLUO Admission 2023 Selection Process

BA & BBA LLB:

  • The selection process consists of analysis of performance in the Common Law Aptitude Test (CLAT). 
  • Merit list is prepared based on the performance in this examination, following the merit-cum-preference system for CLAT candidates across the country.

NLUO Admission 2023: How to Apply? 

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of NLUO at https://www.nluo.ac.in/.

Step 2: Register yourself after filling in the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id, etc.

Step 3: Now, log in with your registration credentials and fill in all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee and submit the Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a printout of the form for all future needs.

Candidates who wish to apply to B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) / B.B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) / LL.M. Programmes for the Academic Session 2023-2024 under NRI / NRI Sponsored / PIO / OCI Categories need to send the duly filled-in application form, other relevant documents and a proof of deposit of application fees etc. directly to the University through admissions2023@nluo.ac.in 

  • The applications under NRI / NRI Sponsored / PIO / OCI Category shall be considered for admission in case the candidate had appeared for CLAT 2023 under NRI/NRI Sponsored / PIO / OCI Category. 
  • Candidates shall send the filled in application form along with the copy of the admit card of CLAT 2023, other relevant documents and prescribed fees. 
  • They shall be admitted as per their Rank in CLAT 2023, depending upon the vacancies.
  • Once the candidate is admitted under the NRI / NRI Sponsored / PIO / OCI Category the admission will not be converted into any other category subsequently.
