Osmania University has introduced two new undergraduate courses, BA (Hons) Political Science and BA (Hons) Economics for which the admission will be conducted from this academic year 2021-22 onwards.
The newly introduced three-year BA (Hons) in Political Science will be offered at the Osmania University College for Women, Koti, Osmania University, while the other BA (Hons) in Economics programme will be available at Nizam College.
Similarly, the Government City College and Government Degree College for Women, Begumpet will offer the BA (Hons) in Political Science and BA (Hons) in Economics.
The syllabus has been prepared by the committee comprising internal and external subjects in the respective specializations. The course has been designed and structured in a way that will open a door full of opportunities for the students aspiring to take up competitive exams like SSC and UPSC.
Osmania University has decided to intake a total of 60 students for the two newly introduced courses and admissions will be conducted through the Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST).
Candidates interested can apply online by logging into the DOST website @https://dost.cgg.gov.in/ on or before November 20, 2021.

In the meantime, a team consisting of all women administrators has taken charge at Osmania University’s UGC-Human Resource Development Centre.
Dr. B. Lavanya of the History Department took charge as Associate Director, while Prof. B. Vijaya of the Department of English has taken charge as the Director, and Dr. V. Samunnatha of Business Management is assumed as the Assistant Director.
According to a press release, the university said that this is the very first time in the history of century old Osmania University, the woman faculty along with two other other faculties are heading the major training centre.
