Osmania University Students Fear About The Continuous Examination; Check Details Here

Several students from Osmania University Affiliated College fear about the continuous semester examination that will commence by the end of this month.

OU affiliated college has decided to conduct the semester exams for the first, second, and third-year students by the end of November.

Online classes are already being held, but now the students have to physically appear for the semester exams at various exam centers.

Apart from this, the semester exams have been scheduled to be held on consecutive days without a gap between the exams which has made the students worry a lot.

Almost, many of the studying students who belong to the other districts of Telangana had moved to their hometowns due to the pandemic.

Several students from the OU affiliated colleges raised their voice against the conduction of the exams at these crucial times. They not only wrote letters to the University but have also created various groups on social media to voice their apprehensions.

In one such letter, it was mentioned that "In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, while all the other universities and colleges are conducting online exams at their college, Osmania University has not taken any of these options.

The exam schedule has made the students worry a lot. Even Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) which prepares the continuous exam schedule, has now prepared the exam schedule with an adequate number of days between the exams this year. But the exam schedule of Osmania University has failed the students, read the letter.

While the 2nd year semester exams are scheduled to be conducted from November 23 - December 1, 2020. And the 4th-semester exams have been scheduled to be held from December 3 - 11, 2020.

Students have raised their voices against OU stating that the college of Engineering has scheduled its exams with an adequate number of days in between. But for the affiliated colleges, it is not the same.

They questioned why Osmania University is not conducting exams online while it is conducting online exams for university college students.
