PGIMER 2020 Spot Counselling Round: Check Guidelines released for Foreign National Candidates


The notice regarding the allotment of seats to Foreign National candidates for the MD/MS course July session has been released by the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education (PGIMER), Chandigarh. 

According to the notice, Registrar of PGIMER, Chandigarh has informed candidates who have applied and qualified for the  PGIMER 2020  exam under the Foreign National Category that the counselling will be held for such candidates through a spot round. 

The Spot Counselling round is scheduled to be held in offline mode on July 31, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Bhargava Auditorium, PGIMER. All candidates are required to report at the counselling venue as per the schedule released by the authorities. 

The PGIMER entrance exam was held on July 14, 2020, to offer admission to 306 seats. The seats were to be filled in 20 specialities of Master Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) courses.

Guidelines for PGIMER Spot Counselling Round 2020

  • The Physical Presence of candidates is compulsory. 

  • Seats of MD/MS Course will strictly be granted to candidates who have No Objection Certificate (NOC), received from the office of undersigned through the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

  • Candidates who will be allotted seats through spot counselling round will be required to join the seat right away.

  • It is must for the aspirants to carry their original certificates such as rank letter, admit card and other original documents/testimonials in order to join the seat.

  • As admission will be based on the verification of documents, therefore, the candidates will not be given any extra time in any situation.
