Private, Government Universities Set High Cut-off for UG Courses 2021-2022 Session; Read Full Details Here


Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic, various government and private institutes recorded a huge number of applications for undergraduate and postgraduate program admission process for academic session 2021. 

This year, Delhi University has recorded a rise in applications for its admission session 2021-2022 despite the ongoing pandemic. The university recorded a total of 1,70,186 applications for its 70,000 seat availability for UG courses. 

As a result, various Delhi University Affiliated colleges have released a 100 percent cut-off criteria for its courses. Even after the release of DU 5th Cut-off, the affiliated colleges released above 96% cut-off criteria for UG admission. 

Witnessing the applications, Delhi University released high cut-off lists to select eligible candidates for undergraduate course admission seats in its various affiliated colleges. 

Similarly, for admission session 2021-2022, Mumbai University recorded a rise of 10 to 13 percent in its cut-off release. For admission to various MU-affiliated universities, students were required to meet the cut-off criteria released by the colleges for the session 2021-2022. 

As for the University of Rajasthan Admission 2021, the university also released the highest cut-off of 100 percent for admission sessions. Students were allotted with admission seats based on their marks secured in the class 12th examination. 

University of Rajasthan’s first cut-off list released for B.Com courses was set at 95 percent in which only two students were allotted with admission seats at 96 and 93.80 percent. 

Referring to the high cut-off release, a student from Noida said, “I was hopeful of getting into any of the reputed off-campus colleges since campus colleges usually have a higher cut-off for this course”.

“But in 2021, even off-campus colleges have sky-high cut-offs. Therefore, I took admission to the BCom program at Motilal Nehru College,” the student further said.

While talking about Private Institutes and colleges, the Sharda University in Greater Noida has recorded an increase of about 30 percent more admission inquiries in 2021. The admission requests have been recorded for various departments. 

Referring to the admission data, Rajeev Gupta, Director Admission Department of Sharda University said, “Around 2.25 lakh students enquired for various undergraduate programmes offered by the university as compared to 1.75 lakh inquiries last year”.

“The number of students registering for the admission process has almost doubled this year” Rajeev Gupta further added. 

Earlier, in 2021, various state boards and CBSE boards have released the examination result for Class 12th students based on result evaluation criteria released. The result was released on the official website of the respective examination board.
