PU M.Tech Admission 2022 Open; Last Date to Apply is October 3

New Delhi: Panjab University has begun the application process for the M.Tech programme at the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) for the academic session 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @puchd.ac.in. 

UIET offers M.Tech under Microelectronics for which admissions are on the basis of GATE and Panjab University CET entrance exam. Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech programme can submit their applications till October 3, 2022.

Affiliated to PU, UIET will grant admissions to the M.Tech programme based on the scores obtained in the GATE entrance exam.

PU M.Tech Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admissions into the MTech programme will have to meet the requisite eligibility criteria. 

• Candidates must hold a M.Sc.(Physics), M.Sc. (Chemistry), B.E. (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics and communication/ Civil/Production) degree with at least 60% marks in aggregate from Panjab University or any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent thereto.

• GATE-qualified candidates to be given priority
• Candidates who have cleared the postgraduate common entrance test (CET-PG) will be considered on the basis of their rank and percentage secured in their bachelor’s courses

PU M.Tech Admission 2022: How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of PU @puchd.ac.in.

Step 2: Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.

Step 3: Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Send the application forms to the email address @pgadmissionuiet@gmail.com by October 3. 

According to the circular issued by the university, students will have to fill the admission form available on the official website of the UIET and submit along with a copy of documents at pgadmissionuiet@gmail.com by October 3. 

Further, the University Business School is all set to conduct counselling-cum-admission sessions for admission to master of commerce (Honours) and masters of business administration for the 2022-23 academic session. 

Meanwhile, the retirement age at PU will remain 60 years, with no room for extension considering an order of the Punjab and Haryana high court. 

The division bench of HC was hearing a bunch of appeals filed by teachers against the order of a single bench, which dismissed their plea seeking enhancement of the retirement age of PU faculty from 60 to 65 years.
