PU to Conduct Reappear Examinations With UG, PG and Professional Courses From 15th January; Check Important Details


Panjab University has decided to conduct the re-appear exams for UG/PG/professional courses from January 15, 2021. Exams will be conducted in online mode and candidates do not need to apply again for these exams.

Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh will be conducting its odd semester examinations for UG, PG and professional courses from January 15, 2021 tentatively. Candidates who could not appear or failed in the exit classes exams in September 2020 will also be allowed to appear for the examination. 

The examinations will be held in online mode for all categories including professional courses and deficient subjects of intermediate even semesters. PU authorities have instructed that the scores of reappearing candidates who had failed in the September exams will be cancelled and the result for January 2021 exams will be considered for future references.

On the other hand, PU syndics have expressed their aggravation for conducting the exams online. Earlier, they had issued a letter to the VC of PU requesting to organise the exams in physical or offline mode only. 

As the exams for undergraduate, postgraduate and other courses were delayed and the online exams were not conducted smoothly.

The syndics expressed their disappointment by saying that no meeting has been conducted in the past five months regarding the issues faced while conducting online exams and suggested conducting all semester examinations for the ongoing classes, in the physical/offline mode.

Panjab University has already announced its decision to conduct the re-appear exams for UG/PG/professional courses and those who have already filled the reappear forms for May 2020, don’t have to register again.
