Raiganj University Ph.D. Admission 2020-21: Application Form Available till December 15; Check Admission Process, Eligibility Criteria and Important Dates

Raiganj University has begun the Ph.D. Admission procedure for the Academic Session 2020-21. Interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can apply till December 15, 2020, on varsity’s official website @raiganjuniversity.ac.in.

As per the Raiganj University Ph.D. admission schedule, the entrance examination will be conducted on December 20, 2020. However, candidates who have qualified in NET/ SET/ GATE shall be exempted from the Entrance Test.

Moreover, the varsity will begin the first round of Raiganj Ph.D. Counselling 2020 on December 31, 2020. Candidates are advised to visit the varsity’s official website to stay up-to-date with the Ph.D. admission procedure.

Raiganj University Ph.D. Admission 2020-21: Eligibility Criteria

To apply for admission to Raiganj University Ph.D. program, candidates shall fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

• Candidates with minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grade in M.Phil from Raiganj University.
• Those who are waiting for M.Phil. Final Semester results are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates whose M.Phil dissertation has been evaluated but the viva voce is pending are eligible to apply. However, the admission will be confirmed if the candidate qualified in M.Phil with the requisite percentage of aggregate marks.
• Those possessing an equivalent degree to M.Phil from other Indian Institutions which are approved, recognized or authorized by Government authority.
• Those having a Master’s Degree in the related discipline are eligible to apply.

Additionally, 5% relaxation in qualifying marks will be given to candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) / differently-abled and other categories of candidates.

Admission to candidates will be provided on the basis of their performance in the written test, viva voce, and their qualifying examination. The entrance examination will consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject-specific.

Raiganj University Ph.D. Admission 2020-21: How to Apply?

Candidates who are interested in the Ph.D. course offered at Raiganj University and fulfill the eligibility criteria can fill the application form by following the below instructions:

Step 1: Visit the Raiganj University official website @raiganjuniversity.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the “Ph.D. Admission 2020-21” link available on the homepage.

Step 3: On the next window, click on the “Ph.D. Online Application 2020-21” link available under the notice section.

Step 4: Click on the “New Registration” tab available under the Applicants Login section.

Step 5: Fill in all the necessary details and click on Sign Up. After submission, Raiganj University will send the confirmation on the registered mobile number and email id.

Step 6: Sign in using user ID and password.

Step 7: Fill in the personal and education qualification details. Upload the necessary documents as prescribed in the application form.

Step 8: Submit the application form fees of INR 1000 for General category candidates, and INR 700 for reserved category candidates through online payment modes such as Debit Card, Credit Card, and Net Banking.

Step 9: Verify the details and click on Submit to complete your admission process.
