Lucknow University is going to conduct its admissions and examinations at department level from the session of 2021-22. Two new courses and two new research centres along with a student mentorship programme is also being launched at the University.

The other targets that need to be accomplished are the Lucknow University’s Green Audit, National Assessment and Accreditation Council re-evaluation, 100% implementation of National Education Policy, and National Institutional Ranking Framework Assessment.

The Vice-chancellor Professor Alok Kumar Rai has taken some decisions as a part of the ‘Target 2021’ programme to overhaul LU’s teaching, management, and research. 

On December 31, the VC informed about the plan to mark the completion of his 3-year-term in office. He also presented before everyone the 2020 report card mentioning the administrative, academic, and digital reforms introduced this year.

He stated that they are going to decentralize the admission and examination process, and now the departments will conduct their respective processes for PG courses. He said that this move will save time and will minimise the possibilities of errors.

He further said that the screening committees will keep vigil, and the records will be made available online for transparency. In the coming years, the University has planned to decentralize the PhD admissions as well.

However, he lastly stated that there will be no kind of changes in undergraduate examinations and admissions.
