Sambalpur University Begins Online Migration Certificate Service; Know how to apply

Sambalpur University has decided to offer an online migration certificate service to students who graduated from the university, for admission to other institutions. 

The initiative has been taken by the Sambalpur University, Odisha to reduce the hassles faced by students while applying for college or university transfer. With this initiative, students will be able to apply for the migration certificate while sitting at home.

After Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) in Bhubaneswar, the Sambalpur University is the second educational institution to commence the online services under the Centre for Modernising Government Initiative.

According to the university's press release, the online migration service was started by the University for its students as a part of the Odisha Right to Public Service Act (ORTPSA). 

Sanjib Mittal, Vice-chancellor of the varsity, said that students of Sambalpur University affiliated colleges will now be able to seek migration certificates by applying online. They need not visit the university to procure the certificate. 

A total of 222 colleges are there under the Sambalpur university in 10 districts of western Odisha and every year, a total of 25,000 students pass out from these affiliated colleges. Most of the pass-out students who take admission into other universities require a migration certificate. 

As a result, with the online migration certificate service, it will be easier for those students to receive the migration certificate. 

Sambalpur University Online Migration Certificate Service: How to Apply? 

Step 1: Visit the official website of Sambalpur University.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the 'Online Application for Migration Certificate (UG)'.

Step 3: It will redirect to the ORTPSA migration where they can apply for the online migration services. 

The University Registrar, Nruparaj Sahu said the students of the university will get some more services online as the university is constantly focusing on more and more digitisation.
