Sastra University Admissions Open for PhD Program in Media

Sastra University is now inviting applications for a PhD program in Media to encourage evolution of the news and media department in India.

SASTRA University, Thanjavur is a deemed university and has recently introduced a PhD program in the memory of Late Cho S Ramaswamy, a veterinarian Journalist.

The program can be applied by those candidates who have completed their Masters from a recognised institutes related to journalism, history and public policy.

The Vice Chancellor of Sastra informed that selected scholars will be getting a stipend quality mentorship. Last date to apply for the program is December 12, 2020.

How to Apply in Sastra University

The university accepts both online and offline applications. The application fee for all the programs is INR 600. If the candidate wishes to apply offline, then the application fee will be INR 650 in favour of Sastra University.

Step 1: Visit the official website www.sastra.edu

Step 2: Click on the admission tab in the homepage

Step 3: Select the program you are interested in and apply online

Step 4: Fill out the application form and submit the required docs

Step 5: Pay the application fee via online 

Step 6: Upon verification of payment, the portal will submit the application.

About Sastra University

School of Distance Education, SASTRA University offers undergraduate programs in BA, B.Ed., and BFA. Candidates are selected on the basis of merit in these courses. Minimum eligibility for B.A. in Astrology requires candidates to pass 10+2 or diploma in Astrology or equivalent. 

To be eligible for BFA in Dance and Music, 10+2 or diploma in Dance of any recognized institution including Nrithyodaya is required. For admission in B.Ed. candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree from a recognized board.
