New Delhi: IIT Kanpur, Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) have organised an in-depth training on AgriTech Entrepreneurship Development under its Advanced ESDP Program. The session was organised in collaboration with AgroNXT Services.
As per IIT Kanpur, the initiative to host in-depth training is taken to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Agritech sector. It was held with the support of the Ministry of Mirco, Small and Medium Enterprises.
The start-up hosted the first batch of agritech entrepreneurship development programs from February 06 to February 10, 2023 at IIT Kanpur’s Outreach Centre, Noida. The program was attended by participants from all over the country.
In addition to this, the program was attended by various startups, individuals working on projects, MSME representatives, engineers, MBA, agriculture graduates, and Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) among other participants.
For the first batch, the institute has received registrations from more than 120 students. The program’s main focus was on key aspects of entrepreneurship in specific sectors and provided participants access to business knowledge that turns ideas into successful businesses.
Under this program, some of the ideas will be selected and granted access to funding opportunities offered by the Ministry of MSME. After this, the institute is preparing to host the next batch of the program from February 13, 2023.
