SPPU Begins Admissions for More Than 300 Certificate Courses for 2022 Session; Read Details Here


New Delhi: To make students prepared for the workforce, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is offering more than 300 certificate courses to interested candidates. These courses are conducted alongside the students' regular BA, BCom, and BSc degree programs.

As per SPPU, students who are currently enrolled in regular undergraduate programs such as BA, BCom, or BSc degrees can now apply for certificate courses through the official website at degreeplus.in. The majority of the courses will be free of cost for all interested candidates. 

Informing about this initiative, Vice-Chancellor of SPPU, Nitin Karmalkar stated that with this step, the university aims to encourage students to learn different skills which will further help them become "industry ready". The courses have been made available to students at a reduced fee. 

Adding to the statement, Karbhari Kale, Vice-Chancellor of SPPU said, “By availing of the ‘Degree Plus’ opportunity, students at the university will be able to gain updated knowledge in information technology, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, economics, culture, etc".

"It is highly encouraged that a maximum number of students take advantage of this opportunity by applying for the certificate courses through the official website of dual degree programs at degreeplus.in" he added. The SPPU courses will start from the academic session 2022-23. 

As of now, a total of 26,000 students have applied for certificate courses through SPPU Admissions 2022 process and 5000 candidates have been admitted. After completing the course duration, participants will receive a certificate of completion from the university. 

These courses are offered to students through tie-ups with educational and social organizations including Harvard Business Online, Stanford University, AWS, Simply Learn, and Celebrity School. For more details about the courses, visit the official website at degreeplus.in.
